This standard is formulated to implement the Environmental Protection Law of the People's Republic of China, the Law of the People's Republic of China on the Prevention and Control of Environmental Pollution by Solid Wastes and relevant laws and regulations, strengthen the environmental management of hazardous wastes, and ensure the scientific identification of hazardous wastes. This standard specifies the technical requirements for the process of sample collection and detection in the identification of hazardous characteristics of solid waste, as well as the determination of detection results. This standard was first issued in 2007, and this is the first revision.
